The LR house is an extensive reno of a 1940s Halifax North end side hall house. The house was built on steeply sloping lands which made entry and driveway winter perils of considerable proportion. The unusual reno, places the new volumes at the from of the house. This move not only adds presence too the house on the street, but also allows for e exceptionally gracious entrance to the house as well as a new Secondary Suite.The owners love hammocks and swing seats, both of which were built in using engineered hardpoints. The project is solar ready and is prewired to allow the electric car to supply battery power to the house in the event of a power failure.
